Diplomatic Delegations are individually tailored programs for Washington-based embassies to engage Miami with a focus on public diplomacy, economic collaboration, and cultural enrichment.
Each visit advances sub-national diplomacy through public speaker events, economic institution visits, media profiles, leadership gatherings, and meetings with local officials.
In May 2025, the World Affairs Council of Miami partnered with the Embassy of Finland in the United States to host H.E. Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Ambassador of Finland to the United States, on a diplomatic visit to Miami.
In May 2025, the World Affairs Council of Miami partnered with the Embassy of Mexico in the United States to host H.E. Esteban Moctezuma Barragán, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, on a diplomatic visit to Miami.
In March 2025, the World Affairs Council of Miami partnered with the Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the United States to host H.E. Georg Sparber, Ambassador of Liechtenstein to the United States, on the inaugural visit to Miami by the Principality.
In October 2024, the World Affairs Council of Miami partnered with the Embassy of Sweden to the United States to host H.E. Urban Ahlin, Ambassador of Sweden to the United States, on a diplomatic visit to Miami.
